About me

I am Dr Daniela Lazaro, a consultant specialising in biomedical research, medical device development, and clinical validation. With a PhD in Engineering Materials from the University of Sheffield and extensive experience across academia and industry, I support organisations in advancing healthcare technologies from concept to market.

My consultancy is built on a strong scientific foundation, with expertise spanning oncology, diabetes, and musculoskeletal research. I have developed and validated diagnostic devices, in vitro models, and advanced analytical approaches using spectroscopy, chemometrics, and biostatistics. Alongside this, I have experience in managing clinical trials, preparing technical documentation, and supporting quality management processes, ensuring that evidence generation is both scientifically robust and aligned with international standards.

Beyond technical expertise, I am passionate about clear communication and collaboration. I translate complex science into actionable insights for clinicians, investors, and regulators, and I have a proven track record in public engagement, mentoring, and international collaboration.

Through my consultancy, I help organisations strengthen their scientific strategies, validate their technologies, and communicate their impact, with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes and accelerating innovation in healthcare.
